wanted snacks
25/09/2009 | design

Designed by Peter Gregson | Country: Serbia
“PG developed concept and visual identity for new nut packaging called WANTED (pistachios, cashew nuts and peanuts). The aim of this project was to create an eye catching and funny package for the most desired (wanted) products. Each product has a warrant for a wanted person - ingredient on the front. For instance cashew nut is an Indian. In a Serbian cashew nut is translated as Indian nut, which explains the turban.”

"Sporting the same stealth fighter-inspired angular bodywork as the standard Reventón that was unveiled two years ago at the same auto show, the new topless Lambo will reportedly make use of its all-wheel drive system to help the run to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. Top speed is expected to be well over 200 miles per hour, as you'd expect from an Italian supercar with a mid-mounted 650-horsepower V12 powerplant."

555 kubik - facade projection in hamburg
555 KUBIK
"How it would be, if a house was dreaming"
The conception of this project consistently derives from its underlying architecture - the theoretic conception and visual pattern of the Hamburg Kunsthalle. The Basic idea of narration was to dissolve and break through the strict architecture of O. M. Ungers "Galerie der Gegenwart". Resultant permeabilty of the solid facade uncovers different interpretations of conception, geometry and aesthetics expressed through graphics and movement. A situation of reflexivity evolves - describing the constitution and spacious perception of this location by means of the building itself.

ink calendar by oscar diaz
02/09/2009 | design

"Ink Calendar make use of the timed pace of the ink spreading on the paper to indicate time. The ink is absorbed slowly, and the numbers in the calendar are ‘printed ‘ daily. One a day, they are filled with ink until the end of the month. The calendar enhances the perception of time passing and not only signaling it. The aim of the project is to address our senses, rather than the logical and conscious brain."

key milestones in the development of internet
02/09/2009 | tech
1969: On Sept. 2, two
computers at University of California, Los Angeles, exchange
meaningless data in first test of Arpanet, an experimental military
network. The first connection between two sites — UCLA and the
Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park, Calif. — takes place on
Oct. 29, though the network crashes after the first two letters of
the word "logon." UC Santa Barbara and University of Utah later
join.
1983: Domain name system is proposed. Creation of suffixes such as ".com," ".gov" and ".edu" comes a year later.
1990: Tim Berners-Lee creates the World Wide Web while developing ways to control computers remotely at CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research.
1995: Amazon.com Inc. opens its virtual doors.
1998: Google Inc. forms out of a project that began in Stanford dorm rooms. U.S. government delegates oversight of domain name policies to Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, or ICANN. Justice Department and 20 states sue Microsoft, accusing the maker of the ubiquitous Windows operating system of abusing its market power to thwart competition from Netscape and others.
2006: World Internet population surpasses 1 billion.
