„Thomas Herbrich is a skilled manipulator, primarily of photography but recently he has turned his hand to tweaking history as well. His recent book The Truth About the Moon is a fictional account of a faked landing, told realistically and with the use of actual (but manipulated) photos. He also works with smoke, model making and sausages.“

Fortunately we no longer have to wait for frantic festivities; artists have spawned a new movement in light art, or light graffiti, as it’s become known. "This is a picture of the sky above Oslo, Norway, exploding, two minutes after midnight on January 1, 2008. A comment by Bjørn Christian Tørrissen: In Norway there's no tradition for fireworks arranged by the city. It's too cold in January to gather downtown for the celebrations, so everyone just go out into their gardens or a nearby open spot, launch their rockets and then head back inside. The result is a view like this, with fireworks shooting up from absolutely everywhere at midnight on January 1."
